Meet Dr. John Brunetti, DMD, FACS
Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. John Brunetti was born in Chicago and from the age of 5 to 14 he lived in Italy. He attended Elk Grove High School and Northwestern University where he received a bachelor degree in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors from Southern Illinois University In 2002, he completed his Residency in general practice and hospital dentistry at Rush University Medical Center in 2003. Dr. Brunetti completed his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin in 2007.
After his Residency, Dr. Brunetti worked as a full-time clinical instructor at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center where he was responsible for teaching residents implant procedures, wisdom tooth removal, and corrective jaw surgery. In 2009, Dr. Brunetti joined the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice of Dr. Michael H. Grousd in Vernon Hills. Dr. Grousd retired from practice in 2009.
Dr. Brunetti provides a broad range of oral and maxillofacial surgical services with emphasis on dento-alveolar surgery, wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, bone grafts, general anesthesia, intravenous sedation, facial trauma, and pathology. He has a special interest in implants and implant related procedures as well as corrective jaw surgery. He is a certified instructor in Basic Life Support and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Brunetti is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Brunetti holds active hospital staff privileges at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Advocate Children’s Hospital, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Endeavor Health Northwest Community Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Brunetti is a clinical instructor in the department of Otolaryngology/Dental Surgery at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine where he provides resident education. He is licensed in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the states of Illinois and Wisconsin.
In his spare time, Dr. Brunetti enjoys spending time with his three children.

Meet Dr. Jordan Elmowitz, DMD
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Jordan Elmowitz is a board-eligible oral and maxillofacial surgeon serving patients at both the Vernon Hills and Lake Zurich locations. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Cook County Health in Chicago, where he gained extensive training in extractions, sedations, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and dental implants. In addition to his residency at Cook County Health, Dr. Elmowitz also completed two additional years of training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Elmowitz earned his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating with honors, and holds a Bachelor of Science from Tulane University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest honors society in the United States.
He practices full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, with particular interest in dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery, ambulatory anesthesia, benign pathology, and facial trauma. Dr. Elmowitz has completed advanced training through the Misch Implant Institute, where he is now a Fellow, as well as continuing education courses.
Dr. Elmowitz is an active contributor to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery through research. He is the author on studies published in the journal Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Oral Radiology, the European Journal of Dentistry, and in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ISOMS), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA).
Outside the office, Dr. Elmowitz enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, playing basketball and pickleball, trying new restaurants around Chicago, and traveling. He also has a longstanding interest in teaching and mission trips, treating patients in underserved areas in Jamaica and Ghana.
